- Comments Off on Joy In The Morning – And her Name is Nyomi
Options client Brianna came to our center this week to introduce her new baby daughter, Nyomi.
As Nyomi’s eyelids fluttered in sweet slumber, Brianna recounted her baby girl’s birth story and the special challenges she faced during her pregnancy. Nyomi, Brianna told us, was her “Rainbow Baby.”
We learned through Brianna that a Rainbow Baby is one whose birth follows an infant loss, miscarriage or a stillbirth. Brianna experienced a stillbirth in April of 2016 almost one year from the exact date of Nyomi’s birth.
The storm of Brianna’s tragic loss could be felt during her recent pregnancy. When she came to Options for the first time, Brianna was understandably anxious and afraid to be too happy about her pregnancy given her past birth outcome. After meeting with our nurse manager for pregnancy verification, an early Options ultrasound revealed a growing baby with a strong heartbeat.
We kept in touch with Brianna throughout the weeks and months of her high risk pregnancy. Brianna’s doctors took good care of her and closely monitored her progress until Nyomi was born, a beautiful Rainbow Baby sent by God after a storm of loss and worry.
Options is here for all of our clients, to help them meet their own unique challenges during pregnancy. We share their joys as well as their sorrows. In Brianna’s case, her joy far outweighs her sorrow, now that Nyomi is here. We are grateful to have shared in a small part of her journey and to witness where that journey has brought her today.
So …Welcome Nyomi Brielle! We are so glad you’re here. May God bless you and keep you, all the days of your life.
…Weeping may endure for the night but joy comes with the morning.
